(1) Introduction
Pieces of information made available in the Legal Department Of Comandclem Nigeria Limited showed that the Honourable Justices Of The Supreme Court Of Nigeria has re-fixed the hearing of all the outstanding motions in the patent right infringement appeal against Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited from 19th of January, 2015 to 2nd of June, 2015.
(2) Statements of Prince Ajamu Sunday, Director Of Admin (CCNL Board Members)
While addressing The CCNL Staff and some Patentees in 4, Ogudu Road, Ojota, Lagos, on this latest development, The Director of Administration in the Board Member of Comandclem Nigeria Limited, Prince Ajamu Sunday disclosed that;
“The Legal Department in Comandclem Nigeria Limited has just informed me that a new hearing date in the appeal against Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited ongoing in the Supreme Court of Nigeria has been re-fixed from 19th of January, 2015 to 2nd of June, 2015.”
“Few days to the death of The King, He spoke in parables to me, but I never understood him when he said to me that”
“Instead of Justice Onnoghen to dismiss my appeal in the Supreme Court of Nigeria based on a Notice of Withdrawal, which I never authorize, I would rather sacrifice my life for my appeal to continue in the interest of my Patentees and Nigerians who have invested in my patent in trust.”
Per: King Professor CJA Uwemedimo
- “King Professor CJA Uwemedimo being a patriotic and a detribalized Nigerian, He sacrificed his precious life to restore his dismissed appeal in the Supreme Court of Nigeria when He gave up the ghost on 18th of July, 2104. But thank GOD, he lives on because Comandclem Nigeria Limited cannot die being a juristic corporate entity. “ May the precious soul of King Professor CJA Uwemedimo rest in perfect peace, amen.
- “The most important of all the motions before the Honourable Justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria for adjudication on 2/6/2015 is The Restoration Application filed by Comandclem Nigeria Limited praying the Honourable Justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria to bring back to life the dismissed appeal of CCNL.”
“I implore all the Patentees of Comandclem Nigeria Limited, nationally and internationally, to set aside a day for fasting and prayer so as to see the favour of Almighty God with respect to the restoration of our appeal before the Honourable Justices Of The Supreme Court Of Nigeria.” Prince Ajamu Sunday disclosed.

(3) Conclusion
(3.1) It is on record that on 5th of May, 2014, Honourable Justice Walter Nkanu Onnoghen (JSC) dismissed the Appeal filed by CCNL because of A Notice Of Withdrawal allegedly written by Professor Tony Ukam (Formal CCNL Counsel).
(3.2) Honourable Justice Walter Nkanu Onnoghen (JSC) adjourned The Cross Appeal to 7th of October, 2014 but unfortunately, hearing was unable to hold due to Muslim Festival, and the appeal was subsequently adjourned to 3rd of November, 2014.
(3.3) On 3rd of November, 2014, hearings of pending motions were unable to hold owing to the fact that the death of King Professor CJA Uwemedimo was communicated to the court, and the court adjourned all the outstanding motions to 19th of January, 2015.
(3.3) On 3rd of November, 2014, hearings of pending motions were unable to hold owing to the fact that the death of King Professor CJA Uwemedimo was communicated to the court, and the court adjourned all the outstanding motions to 19th of January, 2015.
(3.4) On 19th of January, 2015, hearings of pending motions were unable to hold because of the fact that Judiciary Workers in Nigeria were on a nationwide strike.
(3.5) As a result of the above, and among other things, the Honourable Justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria has re-fixed the hearings of all the outstanding motions to 2nd of June, 2015.
(3.6) Hopefully, after the conclusion of all the outstanding motions before the Supreme Court of Nigeria on 2nd of June, 2015, as the court pleases, the appeal may be adjourned to a new date only to entertain The Substantive Appeals after which the Honourable Judges have within 90 days to deliver final judgment as provided for in Section 294 (1) Of The Constitution Of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria, 1999 As Amended.
